Owned by DiamondRock Hospitality Company and managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, the Gwen is the first hotel in Chicago to be included in Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ The Luxury Collection brand. Located in a rare landmark building featuring Art Deco architecture, the Gwen takes after Gwen Lux—a Chicago-born sculptress and pioneer—and honors “the grandeur and glamour of the Chicago in the 1930s,” according to a release. “We are delighted to debut The Luxury Collection in Chicago in this ideal downtown location, as we continue to seek out opportunities to grow the brand in premium markets around the world,” said Hoyt H.
